For the exhibition Sanguine/Bloedrood, Luc Tuymans has chosen a painting of a figurative plant that appears to become larger and more abstract in a hazy environment. In their backgrounds, the scene is surrounded by a nebulous light tunnel that isolates and sacralises the central motif.
