Kringloop – uitgeverij de storm, 1978
Sculpture , 9 x 7,75 m

On the first of August 1978, MAIM shows its first traveling attraction in Ostend. Publisher De Storm is – totally in accordance with the environmental considerations of the time – a windmill designed to print poems on handmade paper featuring a watermark representing a handshake.

Between 1978 and 1980, the Kringloop passes by various events in Belgium, at Ostend, Ghent, Nieuwpoort, Blankenbergen, Heist, Liège and Opheylissem. It visits the Netherlands too, in Alkmaar, Middelburg and Vlissingen – as well as Germany: Stuttgart and Ingelheim am Rhein. Seven bibliophile editions will be printed, the first of which can be seen here.

In Ostend, poems by Ernest de Sousa, Kamagurka, Marcel van Maele, Herman J. Claeys, Walter De Buck, Wis Jacobs, Jean-Pierre Maes, Ludwig Alene, Frank de Crits, Luc Schuiten and Paul Gonze are printed.
