Literary synopsis
La Princesse Angine is a fantasy novel, a fairy tale with a good share of absurdity. Angine (angina in French) is a little girl, a princess who flees her kingdom as it falls in the hands of her enemies, seeking refuge with her uncle. She hits the road on a truck-elephant, accompanied by the Duke of Vitamins, her very loyal and alcoholic Chancellor, and a little poet. Together they go through very Catholic towns such as Lourdes, Lisieux and Rome. The trip is filled with preposterous encounters and magical letters.
