Stolle’s animation films comprise part of an overarching project entitled the Low Fixed Media Show. His films have references to abstract art from the beginning of the 20th century, as well as to contemporary symbols like computer emoticons. The animations combine absurd humor with involvement in societal issues. In his film work, Stolle reacts to the flood of manipulated and synthesized images with which the media bombards us on a daily basis.
