In the black-and-white Pedras Portuguesas (Portuguese Cobblestones), Csekö takes a close look at the Portuguese mosaics that are such a common feature of Rio de Janeiro’s streetscape, tracing their gradual corruption over time as they are worn-out, destroyed and restored again, mostly with little regard for their original design.
