Lucia Laguna paints the landscape she sees from her studio window - mainly her view of the Mangueira neighbourhood, home to Rio’s oldest favelas - and still-lives from in her own studio. She often wanders around surrounding street and brings back small pieces of paper which inspire the composition of her paintings.
