“In 1985 the artist duo Rahmann & Kleinefenn came to Antwerp, where they restaged their earlier work Camera Obscura. They converted a car into a camera obscura: all the windows were blacked out, apart from one small round hole. Because the outside world was projected upside down and in reverse inside the vehicle, the driver became disoriented — limiting or altering the car’s movements. Rahmann & Kleinefenn did a test run on Sint-Jansplein in Antwerp, but the actual journey went across the Mexicobrug and back.” Marc Schepers
