Fabrice Hyber – The Shape of the words

French artist Fabrice Hyber (born in 1961) is an artistic all-rounder. The deconstruction and reconstruction of language and communication is central to his work, and recently, the form of language in itself became one of his fascinations. The M HKA invited him to present a number of those reflections. The exhibition The form of words was divided into two parts. The first part contained paintings onto which Fabrice Hyber tried to commit the forms of the eastern, western and globalised words to paper. The second part consisted of prototypes which he used to show how the world is made up of words. His goal was to examine whether there are words that adopt the shape of their sounds.
The exhibition was accomplished with the support of the French Embassy.
