Damian Le Bas' drawing Roma Armee Fraktion Mr Brexit Missed Exit is part of a larger cartographic series which reflects on the concept of borders and displacement from the perspective of the current political situation in Europe. As he stated: “There are no Gypsy borders, there are no maps that show the infrastructure of the underground world of the Gypsies. Conflict and war are all about borders. The conflicts are planned on maps. War and regimes displace people. […] Some of my maps hopefully make people see that the soul of the Roma is here to stay”.
