This map titled Map of China-Arab Relations is another large-scale drawing, which as its title explains, is a mapping of the historical and contemporary relations between China and the so-called Arab world. We see for example mercantile histories enmeshed with ideological and religious, as well as the movements of people, objects and ideas. Over time, Qiu Zhijie has created a subjective, complex world-view that is at once philosophical and transformative.
