Dutch artist Wendelein Van Oldenborgh’s experimental film project will make a subtle study of the speech and gestures present amongst individuals and groups who are engaged in discursive situations. Taking the notion of the symposium as a motif and working in part with the museum’s lecture programme, the artist will investigate the codes of etiquette and modes of behaviour which accompany such events and use this as a point of departure for a film production scenario.
