The Italian artist Lucia Romualdi lives and works in Rome. She has exhibitions since 1977. Her presentation in the M HKA includes earlier and recent work.

Romualdi is fascinated by tables of figures: how complex reality can be converted into structured mathematics. Thus, tide tables, astronomical tables, timetables etc. emerge in her projections. Nevertheless, her installations have a very sensual nature, in the first place through the introduction of all kinds of sound and contemporary classical music. References to Antwerp, the Scheldt and its tides were integrated in the work that was specially created for this occasion.
