Gordon Matta-Clark — Museum in Motion

Fresh Kill shows how Matta-Clark’s van (which he called ‘Herman Meydag’) was completely destroyed by a bulldozer at Fresh Kills dump. The film revolves around the inevitable course of decay (entropy), the red car heads straight towards its accident with the bulldozer. De film is part of 98.5, a compilation of films by Ed Baynard, George Schneeman and Charles Simons which were also shown at Documenta 5 in Kassel. Camera: Burt Spielvogel, Rudy Burkhardt.
