Weber creates here a work that focuses on the role of body and gesture when designing a public space and has collaborated with Indian artist Palash Mondal who is based at Santiniketan to produce a clay figure of a monkey a pile of books contemplating a skull. This work refers obliquely to Kafka’s short story An Account for an Academy by Kafka in which a monkey gives Ape gives a lecture with its reference to a history of European colonisation of Asia and Africa.
