La République Géniale (which might be rendered as The Republic of Genius) starts from the insight that everyone has genius of a particular kind. This is Filliou’s way of ‘de-hiearchising’ a core feature of Western culture. He called himself ‘a genius without talent’. Each Republic of Genius has its own territory, which can be mobile.
