Daniel Lee is an archaeologist working at the University of the Highlands and Islands Archaeology Institute, based at Orkney College, Scotland. His research interests include exploring archaeologies of landscape, the intersections between art/archaeology, and archaeologies of the contemporary world; specifically space, mapping, movement and surface in the Anthropocene. He was Archaeologist in Residence (with Antonia Thomas) at Papay Gyro Nights contemporary art festival (Orkney, 2013-14) and has published in Journal of Contemporary Archaeology (2017), Livingmaps Review (2016, Map Orkney Month), Historical Archaeology journal (2015) and Flettverk (2015, NO).
